When Hannah was little she had two goldfish named Watson and
Glowgla. The first was named Watson from Sesame Street, not Sherlock Holmes. The book,
A Bird's Best Friend, is about Big Bird being responsible for a pet sheepdog named Watson. We read that story many times to Hannah as it was one of her favourites. When she got her first pet, she naturally named it... Watson. We still have no idea why she named the other
Glowgla.
I almost bought a virtual aquarium today. I have the aquarium application on
facebook and I have grown to enjoy the animated fish. While it may seem very strange to have cartoon fish instead of real ones, there is some merit to the concept.
Apparently some fish are now endangered because their natural habitat has been destroyed and they have been overfished for aquariums. The silver shark shown below is one example. Thanks to
